This category contains all mammalian characters who are not humans.

Mammals are endothermic tetrapods distinguished from other animals by their possession of a neocortex (a region of the brain), hair, three middle ear bones and mammary glands. Mammals evolved from extinct creatures called synapsids, which branched away from birds and reptiles millions of years ago. Living mammal species can be identified by the presence of sweat glands, including those that are specialized to produce milk to nourish their young. Mammals are classified as such:

  • Kingdom: Animalia
  • Superphylum: Deuterostomia
  • Phylum: Chordata
  • Subphylum: Vertebrata
  • Class: Mammalia
