Amor is a fan character designed by TheQueenOfThisShip. Amor resides in the Voltron universe.

Amor is a Galra who share's a special bond with Keith. He, despite not being mentioned in the story, was apart of the Blade of Marmora since birth. During his mission of trying to find the Blade of Marmora, he was taken as a prisoner of the Empire. He escaped the Empire, with the 6th lion, Violet...

Appearance

Amor is a young man with his obvious Galran heritage. However, due to his human side, his eyes are blue, rather than pure yellow.

His casual attire used to consist of Lance's jacket and a white t-shirt as well as jeans. He wore Converse, though he prefers to wear hiking boots.

His Paladin armor used to be more maintained in his time of serving Voltron. His suit still serves as armor, however, he hasn't been able to properly care for it. Over the years, he obtained his scarf, which he dubbed "The Lucky Scarf".

He is littered with scars on his chest, arms, legs and now his face.

Biography

His first appearance is when Keith is watching a tape left by Lance. His next appearance is when Allura announces that a lion was making it's way to the castle, making Keith run to the castle's entrance believing that his boyfriend, Lance was finally home. However, Keith's heart sinks when the lion he finds is purple, rather than blue. Keith turns to Allura, questioning her with a silent stare, though as he was about to say something, the lion's mouth opened. Keith sees a figure move down the walkway. Something tugged on his heart and he goes to the lion. Shiro calls to him, telling him to come back.

However, Keith doesn't listen and as he grows closer he could see a figure leaning against the lion's bottom lip. Keith then stops once he realizes that the pilot of the lion was Galra. Keith grows tense, however, he watches as the Galra gently rubs his hand along the lip, whispering words to the lion. The Galra tells the lion, Violet, to get some rest before he turns to Keith. Calling him the Red Paladin, the Galra tells Keith that he came to return what was rightfully his.

Keith only stared, silently questioning the Galra's intentions, but nothing told him that the Galra was evil. Keith was going to say something to him, though he realizes that the Galra was hurt. He ends up telling the Galra that he was hurt. Keith's heart tugged on him and he kneels down to the Galra. Keith then tells him that he had no idea what the Galra was talking about, though after he was healed, they could talk. The Galra nods in agreement, and Keith then helps the Galra up. He looks to the others for help and Shiro comes over. Though upon seeing the Galra, Shiro stopped. Keith snaps at him, telling him to help. Shiro flinched and goes to help. The Galra passed out, though he and Shiro successfully avoid Allura as they go into the castle.

As Keith and the other Paladins are waiting for the Galra to heal, Keith stares at a jacket. He can tell it's Lance's. He questions why the Galra had it and his temper grows. Keith then ends up joining the conversation about the Galra. Keith defends the Galra as Pidge is quick to not trust him. Keith tells them what the Galra had said about the lion and why they should trust him. Shiro agrees with Keith, and the argument is settled with Keith taking over the duty to watch over the Galra.

The pod door opens and Keith is quick to go over to where he could see the Galra. He watched as the Galra opened his eyes and slumped forwards to where Keith had to catch him. The Galra apologizes, clearly embarrassed. Keith is shocked to hear these words, even if he knew the Galra wasn't going to hurt him. Keith then silently helps the Galra out of the pod and to the couch. He then calls in the rest of Paladins. The others come in a matter of minutes. Shiro then asks for a name. The Galra tells them that they could ask any question they want. He reveals his name as Amor.

Keith is shocked at the name and how normal it was. Shiro replies that it was good to meet him and introduces every Paladin and Allura. Shiro then asks about the Purple Lion. Amor questions Violet's name and tells them that Zarkon was building it and that Amor didn't know how long, but he knew she was there. Amor tells them that he could hear her crying to help. Keith looks at Allura, who has a disgusted look on her face. Keith believed that Amor was telling the truth and that Allura didn't believe it.

Amor then calls to the Paladins, telling them that he managed to erase the data, everything that the Empire had on Violet. Keith tells Amor that he did his best before turning to Shiro. He tells him since they have Amor and Violet, the Empire is at a loss. Amor cuts in questioning himself as a pilot before saying that Violet could barely fly with him in the pilot seat and that someone probably had a better chance. Keith turns to Allura who says that her place was in the castle, though she goes on to say that with practice, Amor would catch up. Amor says that he wasn't worthy, though if it was his fate, he would take it.

Pidge then cuts in asking Amor if he was the Galra in the last video Lance sent. She asks what happened to Lance. Amor tells them the Blue Paladin and he were separated when Amor went back to get Violet. Amor questions if Lance was the Blue Paladins name, though goes on to say that he was a good Paladin and that he risked everything to help Amor.

Keith notices that Amor is growing tired and stops the other from asking questions. He tells them to ask questions later, though Pidge immediately begins to talk back. Keith cuts her off saying that Amor was still weak and that if he was telling the truth, he wouldn't go back to the Empire. An angry Pidge and the others then leave the room, leaving Amor and Keith alone. Keith tells him that he'll help him dress (if he couldn't do it himself at the moment) and escort him to a room. Amor just smiles and tells him that is sounded like a plan.

Keith then helps Amor to one of the rooms in the back. Though as Keith went to get some clothes, He saw Lance's jacket. Keith looked back at Amor, taking in what he was seeing. Scars littered Amor's chest and arms. Keith handed him the white shirt and Amor thanked him when putting it on. Amor then reached out for Lance's jacket, though Keith didn't give it back, Amor seemed to understand.

Amor beings to tell him that Lance had found him in a beaten state and that Lance wasn't wearing his armor so he slipped off the jacket. Amor tells Keith that he thought it was an act of sympathy, though when seeing Keith look at it, he can tell it meant a lot to him. Keith tries to see past Amor, trying to tell if Amor was lying.

Amor tells Keith that he could have the jacket if it meant so much to him and that Keith could put the jacket to some use. Keith tells him he'll be fine and that Amor looked good in the jacket. Amor chuckles and then slips the jacket on, telling Keith that if he needed the jacket, he would give it back. Keith agrees though telling him that was if Lance didn't come back. Amor understands and tells him whenever he needed it. Keith then lets Amor change in peace until the Galra was done. Once Amor is done, Keith tells him that he would lead him to a room so that he could get some rest. Amor agrees and Keith leads him throughout the ship.

It is mentioned that Keith placed Amor in the room next to him since he figured the others didn't trust him yet and since the others probably won't find him as easily.

Amor is then seen when Keith is wondering the castle. Keith finds it suspicious the Amor hadn't gotten lost and thinks he placed his trust in the Galra too fast and too soon. Keith calls his name and Amot jumps and turns to Keith, making Keith feel guilty. Amor then answers with a question. Keith tells jokes and tells him that he is the one and only Red Paladin and askes if Amor couldn't sleep. Amor nods and tells him that he couldn't sleep with the events of that day, though Amor asks it Keith couldn't sleep as well. Keith tells him that he had someone that he cared about, fighting as they spoke, made him restless. Amor understands and admits he that he didn't have much experience waiting for someone.

It is mentioned that the two get closer together as they sit in silence, watching the stars. Amor is the first to speak saying that history had eyes on the Voltron team. Keith tells him he felt like they, the paladins, will get lost in history. Amor merely nods telling him that history wasn't supposed to be fun, at least what he learned in school. Keith is surprised since Amor is Galran. Keith then tries to estimate Amor's age, while questioning Amor about Earth. Amot tells him that he was technically from Earth. Amor goes on to say that his parents escaped the Empire, though they sent him a place he was supposed to go, though the empire caught him before he could get there. He tells Keith that he all he remembered was his parents saying goodbye and that he didn't know how it's been since then.

Keith then asks Amor how old he was. Amor tells him that he was 17, though 18 in two months. Keith does the math and asks what day. August 17th is Amor's reply. Keith didn't realize that Galra's celebrated birthdays. Amor tells Keith that he would like to talk more, but he felt sleepy and asked is it was alright if he left to get some sleep. Keith just nods, saying that Amor didn't need to ask permission, though he too, was going to head back. Amor smiled, saying that he'll see Keith in the morning. Keith then watches him leave.

The next day, Keith doesn't see Amor in the dining room and thought that he probably got lost. Though Amor is seen with Shiro entering the dining room. Keith watches them until Amor ends the conversation and sits next to Keith. Amor asks if Keith got any sleep. Keith says he slept fine and that he was surprised that he slept. Amor smiles and Keith notices a glare from Pidge, thinking that both Pidge and Allura where judging Amor too harshly. As Amor is given a meal, Keith tells him to eat, seeing that he wasn't treated well in the Empire. Amor tells him not to worry about him and appreciate's his concerns. Shiro then speaks up, saying that he should eat as much as he could so they can train him with Violet and fighting. Amor tells him that he is already good at fighting, though he should work with Violet.

Keith then watches as Amor eats his food, clearly nervous. Keith tells him that he'll be fine. Amor reveals that he fears that he won't be the greatest pilot for Violet. He goes on to say that since that Blue Paladin is gone, he believed Voltron was in need of a leg. Keith goes silent and his smile disappears. Amor sees this and apologizes. Keith says that it's okay and if Lance was alive, it was enough for him, though he would like if Lance was there with them. Amor understands and reassures Keith that they'll find Lance. Keith agrees before he excuses himself and leaves the dining room.

After learning that Lance has gone completely insane by thinking he could take on Zarkon, Keith briefly thinks about going to Amor for support.

Keith is laughing at Amor's attempts to fly Violet. Amor wasn't lying when he said that he needed help flying. Keith briefly questions how Voltron would react when Violet would try to link up. As he was thinking about how both the pilot and lion were getting used to each other, Amor speaks up saying that he thinks he getting the hang of flying. It is stated that Amor doesn't have paladin armor, though looks comfortable without it. Keith tells him that it was good that he was getting the hang of it. It's also stated that went Violet comes closer to Red, the two lions were uneasy.

Soon enough, Shiro, Hunk, and Pidge come over in their lions, saying that the lions could use the time to get used to Violet's presence. Amor and the other paladins take the time to fly to a meteor resting ground, where they train Amor and Violet. Amor ends up trying to control Violet to land on a meteor, though when Violet veers away, he tries to put her back on track. He comments that he didn't think that Violet liked that. Before Keith could do anything, Hunk goes over, showing him how to do it. Shiro then comments that it didn't take long for Amor and Hunk to become friends. Keith had no doubt that they wouldn't. Shiro is quick to pick up that Amor was learning fast and Keith agreed before looking for Pidge, thinking she bailed. Though seeing the Green lion and the Purple lion play fight, it makes Shiro comment that they didn't see that every day. It's then stated that Amor is smiling on the video feed and Keith smiles, loving it. When Coran calls in asking about training, Keith tells him that it's going well and that Amor is learning fast.

Keith grows angry when the other Paladin's learn of Lance's mindset and Amor is quiet to take ahold of Keith's arms. Amor was trying to calm him down and it was working. Keith ends up leaving the control room in anger and Amor is quick to follow. He then asks Keith how he could help. Keith tells him that he cannot help the others, though Amor could help him. Amor then questions how he could. Keith mentions the jacket and Amor quickly takes it off. Amor then tells Keith that he should get some rest and that it'll help. Keith doesn't move, so Amor takes his hand and leads him to his room.

When Keith wakes up, all he can remember is Amor telling him to sleep, which he did. So Keith sat up, not expecting to see Amor at the end of his bed asleep. He knew Amor was being a good friend and trying to prove he was trustworthy. So Keith just smiled and moved to where the Galra was. He ran his hands though Amor's hair, trying to wake him up. It works and Amor tells him that he saw the Keith was awake. Keith notices a bandage on Amor's cheek and asks what happened. Amor tells him that he went to train with the gladiator. Keith then wonders why it felt like Amor was lying but chooses to believe that he has secrets like everyone else. Keith then asks if anyone calls for a meeting. Amor says not and that he believes that the Green Paladin is solving the last bit of the puzzle.

Keith notices that he is dressed in Lance's jacket. Amor tells Keith that he put it on the moment he got into his room and that Keith said that Amor looked good in it. Keith tells him that he does and that he wasn't lying. Amor then slips off the bed and tells Keith that Allura will call for a meeting. Keith then takes off the jacket and tells Amor that he gives the jacket back. Amor questions why Keith didn't want it. Keith tells him that the other didn't need to know, in which Amor tells him that his teammates were smart and would figure it out. Allura's voice comes over telling them to come to the control room. Keith tells Amor to keep it and walks out.

Amor contributes to a conversation about Lance's army moving out, saying how Lance was ready to fight Zarkon. When Keith gets into an argument about leaving to get Lance right away without a plan, Amor agrees to go with Keith. Shiro tells Keith to keep Amor close and don't rush into the battlefield. Keith nodded and then raced off with Amor following. The two get in there lions and Amor is quick to speak up, telling him to get going. Keith is surprised when he sees Amor in paladin armor.

It is sometime later and Amor is questioning if they were getting close. Keith is silent. Amor then questions if Lance went through a Wormhole. Keith remains silent. Amor then tells Keith that he understood that Keith was concerned for his boyfriend and that he needed to say something. Keith takes notice that Amor is worried, though remains silent. Amor backtracks his thinking out loud and suggests that the lions should track the movements of Lance's army. Keith concentrates until Red picks up a disturbance. Amor comments that the disturbance wasn't what he was looking for, but think it'll lead them to Lance.

The two immediately go through a Wormhole, though the moment they come out the other side, Amor is blown off course and struggles to get Violet under control. Keith calls to him, saying that he was coming. Keith is quick to help Amor and Violet and they both look at the battlefield to look for the Blue lion. Amor tells Keith that the Blue Paladin must be on the big ship. Keith demands that they go, though Amor tells him that he wasn't sure if he'll be able to keep up. Keith merely tells him to stay close and the two speed off to the large ship. Keith notes that Amor was able to stay close to him. The two are able to get to the ship, though they have to cut their way into the ship to get inside.

Once inside, the two go through the hallways until they come to a large door. Keith and Amor take off their helmets. Though the moment Keith gets Lance's attention, Lance is quick to set his sights on Amor, demanding that the Galra shouldn't be trusted. Keith defends Amor, saying Amor was Voltron's friend. Lance then questions why Voltron was protecting the enemy and figured that Keith would know that the Galra were evil. Keith then stands to protect Amor.

Soon the Lance is changed and the other paladins had come to aid them. Keith tells Amor to get Violet and they he'll follow. It's stated that Lance should stay behind since he was the leader of the Gente's. Lance barely mentions Voltron's name and Keith cuts him off, saying that Amor is the pilot of the Purple lion and can combine with Voltron. Keith then races after Amor.

Keith notes that Amor is flying with them as all six lions fly in formation. Keith doesn't know what to would become of the lions. It is stated when they combined, Voltron was faster and stronger. Allura's voice comes over the COMS telling that Voltron was armored and had wings. Amor can be heard laughing at the COMS as he realized his lion's potential. The other cheer at Amor and Keith just smiled at him.

Keith is wondering around late a night until he passed the main room where he sees Amor looking at a projection of Violet. Keith asks why Amor was up so late. Amor jumps and then looks over at Keith. He tells him that he wanted to understand Violet's mechanics. Keith looks at the projection, watching as Violet would disconnect her legs to connect them to make wings while other plating of the lion armors certain places of Voltron. Keith tells him that he should talk with Hunk. Amor agrees and tells him that Allura was nice enough to make him a paladin suit and bayard. Keith then asked what the weapon of Amor's bayard. Amor replies saying that his weapon was bow and arrow and he wonders how the bayard knew what he was skilled in. Keith smiled and then asks Amor if he could teach him. Amor then questions Keith about his skills with multiple weapons, though he then questions is the Blue Paladin had a few tricks up his sleeve. Keith agrees. Amor then asks how Lance was, with Keith saying that he was very sorry for worrying him. Amor chuckles and Keith tells Amor that he should get back to bed. Amor just smiled and then tells him to not leave Lance waiting. Keith leaves, though he looks back at Amor, his heart racing in his chest.

As of the Epilogue, it's revealed that Amor is Keith's half-brother and that it was Pidge who found it out. Keith had always wanted a little brother and now he had one. Though Keith remembers a date, one that he would never forget.

Keith remembered the day when Amor was called to a station to make peace with the Galra who lived there. The next thing Keith knew, he was called to aid Amor in battle. By the time he got there, the town Amor was staying at was in flames and Violet was crying for her pilot. Keith remembers running to Amor's side, only to realize that he was too late. Amor had died in battle and was shot down by his own arrows. The date was August 17th. Amor died on his birthday.

It was stated that Lance and Keith took in an orphan Galra, naming him Amor in loving memory of Keith's half-brother. Keith was smiling at his memories, despite the loss of his brother. Lance wakes up and asks why Keith is still up. Keith replied that he was thinking about stuff. Lance then questioned if it was Amor. Keith was quiet, though nods. Lance tells him that his sure that Amor is watching him and that Amor always had a thing over watching over Keith. Keith agrees and always knew Amor was watching.

Personality

Amor is polite. He learned manners from the Blade of Marmora when he was a child and as of Rough Mission, he has yet to complain about anything. However after his death and being trapped in a time loop, Amor grows a sense of paranoia. However, when meeting Sendak after "a long time", he finally learns that not everyone is to be trusted and treats the former member of the Empire as an enemy. Over time, he learns that his feelings grew stronger than hate. He went from hating Sendak, to admiring and then forming a crush. Needless to say, Amor grew protective over the ones he loves. So when he finally has a daughter and with her kidnapping, Amor developed an unhealthy way of dealing with that kind of stress.

Abilities

  • Hand-to-Hand Combat: He developed this skill when he lost his bayard. He needed to defend himself and he had no weapons, besides his fists. So he took the time to train and learn his own way of fighting.
  • "The Lucky Scarf": The Lucky Scarf is a piece of clothing that Amor had named "The Lucky Scarf" since the scarf has managed to get him out of many sticky situations. This scarf has magical powers and it chooses Amor as a master.

  • Amor is from a real fanfiction, obviously made by me, hence the names of the books above the actual biography.
  • Amor has a nephew named after him. However, when Amor comes back into the picture, his nephew will change his name to AJ.
  • When thinking of a love interest, Sendak was the first to appear in my head. Sorry guys.
  • Amor was originally designed to be Keith's love interest, even if Keith was dating Lance at the time. (I even found a song that fit the relationship). However, due to some backlash, I changed Keith's and Amor's relationship.
    • Apparently, people still hate him after I made it clear that he is Keith's half-brother and not a love interest...
